Our club is dedicated to dinghy (centreboard) sailing. Anybody with a love for the water and boats can start. Age is no barrier - our sailors are between 10 and 75 years old. For your safety you must be able to swim, of course!
There are three ways to start at Paremata:
- Visit us on a Sunday morning at 9 am and come out on an inflatable rescue craft with us.
You can observe the sailing. We provide the essential safety gear. You need to bring warm clothing and a wind-proof jacket.
- Book a learn-to-sail course with us if you are a junior sailor. We offer block courses for children from the age of 10 years.
- Join our club as a member and start to participate in our regular racing programme and club activities. This will suit you if you have sailing experience.
