Our Clubrooms

The club hires out its clubrooms to the general public in support of a range of community activities and and initiatives, and for private functions. We are positioned on the waters edge, alongside the Pauatahanui Inlet channel, with a large outdoor deck directly over the water. Our clubrooms face North and get all day sun.

The clubrooms are regularly used for local meetings, clubs, interest groups, yoga, parties, working groups and many other activities.

General layout

The clubrooms consists of a main hall, a lounge, a kitchen and separate barThe clubrooms can hold 100 peopleThe main hall can seat 100 peopleThe lounge has comfortable lounge chair seating for 16, and room to bring in more chairs from the hall to seat approx 30 people in the lounge area if neededWe have a large north facing outdoor deck directly over the water


The kitchen has a fridge, two stoves, a pie warmer and a microwave.We have cups and mugs and glasses for 100 people, and an assortment of plates and cutlery.


We have 6 round tables and 6 trestle tables. The round tables are 1 metre in diameter. Trestle tables are 2.4 metre in length, 75cm wide.There are chairs for 100 people.Music wise, there is a stereo with speakers – you would need to plug in aux cord to connect it with your own music.There is a pull-down projector screen (we do not provide a projector).


There is parking outside the clubrooms on a car deck for one vehicle. This is a useful park for the caterer, or for loading and unloading during setup, but is very limited in size and not suitable for general parking.The recommended place to park is at Ivey Bay, approx 150m East along SH58 (Paremata Road).There is also some limited parking for 3-4 vehicles approx 100m West, near the Paremata bridge. Across the road 50m West there is also limited parking for 3-4 vehicles in a pull in area.


Changes to alcohol laws mean that there is no BYO at our venue. We must bring in a bar manager to manage the sale of alcohol to your guests.We need to work with you to complete and submit a Special Licence application to Porirua City Council. This license require 25 working days notice for us to get, so please contact us in good time so we can get the special license for your event.


We are licensed for 100 persons.
